​Aaron brings a rare combination of technical skill and genuine human care to the Avatar Computer & Technology team. He's adaptive, an excellent communicator, and a sharp problem solver — equally comfortable diagnosing a tricky hardware issue or walking a client through their options in plain language. At Avatar, his work covers the full range of what we do:

• Hardware repairs and upgrades

• Troubleshooting and diagnostics

• Operating system installs

• Drive cloning and data migration

• Helping people get the most out of the technology they already own
   

Based in Nelson, BC, Aaron's work at Avatar sits alongside a broader career rooted in health, community, and public service. He is a results-driven holistic health and nutrition professional with over 20 years of experience in client education and nutritional supplements, with a track record of building trusted client relationships and using performance data to drive measurable results. A graduate of the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, he previously served on the Board of Directors of the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants of Canada (IONC).

His path has taken him from clinical practice toward working "upstream" — at the level of social policy, community services, and population health.

 

He studied mental health and addictions at Selkirk College and holds a Bachelor of Public Health from the University of Victoria. Through Kootenay Kids Society, he worked with families of young children on food security programming and education, and also served on the board as co-chair and treasurer.

Aaron's range is, in many ways, a very Kootenay trait. People here often carry adaptable skill sets that span wildly different disciplines — health, trades, technology, arts, community work — and that breadth translates naturally into troubleshooting complex technical systems, keeping the mind pattern-aware and grounded in the human on the other side of the device.
